The tool and vendor directory

A paid tool and vendor directory for clinic marketing software, sold on published criteria and labelled as paid. Not a ranking, not an endorsement.

Short answer

The Clinic Visibility directory is a paid listing product. Vendors pay to appear, listings are labelled as paid, the order is fixed and alphabetical within each category, and no listing is a ranking, a review or an endorsement.

What this directory is

A paid listing product for software and service vendors serving clinic marketing and operations: practice management systems, booking platforms, review management tools, listing management services, consent and analytics tools, and similar categories.

It exists because clinics repeatedly ask where to find tools for a specific job, and because a paid directory is a revenue model we can operate without compromising the editorial position. It is not a ranking, it is not a review, and inclusion is not an endorsement.

The rules, stated plainly

  • Every listing is paid and is labelled as paid.
  • Listings within a category are ordered alphabetically. The order is not a ranking and cannot be bought.
  • Vendors write their own description within a fixed length. We check it for claims that would fail an advertising test, and we edit for length and accuracy, nothing else.
  • A listing carries no editorial commentary, no score and no star rating, because we have not audited the products.
  • Buying a listing buys a listing. It does not buy a mention in an article, a link from editorial content, or any influence over what we publish.
  • We decline listings for categories we consider outside the remit, and for vendors making claims we would not publish.

Criteria for inclusion

  1. The product or service must be genuinely used by clinics for discovery, operations or measurement.
  2. The vendor must be a real, identifiable business with a public address and company registration where applicable.
  3. Pricing must be publicly stated or available on request without obstruction.
  4. The vendor must not make claims that would breach UK advertising rules if we published them.
  5. The vendor must not claim guaranteed rankings, guaranteed AI citations, or any other outcome governed by a system they do not control.

The fifth criterion excludes a meaningful number of applicants, which is the point of having it.

Rates

A standard listing is priced per category per year. A vendor may appear in up to two categories. Current rates and the application form are available through the contact page, and the criteria above apply to every application regardless of what is offered.

What clinics should do with it

Treat it as a starting list, not a shortlist. Read the category, look at the vendors, then apply the questions in our article on judging a proposal: what surface does this affect, what is the mechanism, what is the baseline, and what happens to the asset if the arrangement ends. A directory can tell you who exists. It cannot tell you who is right for your clinic.

The categories

Listings within each category are ordered alphabetically. The order is not a ranking and cannot be bought. We publish the question to ask each category of vendor, because that is more useful than a score we are not in a position to give.

Listing and citation management

Tools that maintain a business's name, address and phone number across directories and aggregators, and that surface inconsistencies between them.

Ask before you buy: Ask how many sources are covered in the UK specifically, whether corrections are submitted to aggregators as well as to visible directories, and what happens to the listings if you stop paying.

Review request and management

Systems that request reviews at a defined point in the patient journey and collect responses across platforms.

Ask before you buy: Ask how the tool prevents selective solicitation, whether it can be configured to ask every patient, and how it handles the confidentiality constraints of a clinical setting.

Local rank and grid measurement

Tools that sample local pack and Maps presence from multiple points across a catchment.

Ask before you buy: Ask how many sample points, how often, and whether the raw observations are exportable rather than only the summary score.

Answer engine monitoring

Tools that run prompt sets against assistants and record whether a business is mentioned or cited.

Ask before you buy: Ask how many runs per prompt per period, which products and locales, and whether you can export the underlying observations. A score without a method is not a measurement.

Structured data and technical auditing

Crawlers and validators that check markup, indexing status, rendering and internal linking.

Ask before you buy: Ask whether it renders JavaScript, whether it validates against the full Schema.org vocabulary or only the subset that produces rich results, and how it handles large location sets.

Consent and analytics

Consent management platforms and analytics tools used on clinic websites.

Ask before you buy: Ask how the banner performs against Core Web Vitals, whether consent decisions are logged in a demonstrable way, and how the tool prevents personal or clinical data entering event parameters.

Booking and enquiry capture

Online booking systems and enquiry forms used as the destination for discovery traffic.

Ask before you buy: Ask whether the booking page is server rendered and indexable, whether it has its own URL, and what it does to page weight on a mid-range mobile device.

Call tracking and attribution

Systems that attribute telephone enquiries to a source.

Ask before you buy: Ask how the tool handles citation consistency, whether the canonical number remains in your structured data and external listings, and how long call recordings are retained.
